Privacy policy
vablet Across for iPhone · Effective 18 October 2026 · Meiotic, Inc.
No information about you reaches our servers.
vablet Across has no server of ours behind it. There is no Across account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app contains no code that sends your files, your email, your calendar, your contacts or anything else about you to Meiotic, Inc. or to vablet.
Your files are copied from Google Drive or the Files app onto your phone and stay there. When something leaves the phone, it goes directly to a service you chose, such as Google, Apple or your email provider. It never passes through us.
1. What we collect
Nothing. Meiotic, Inc. does not collect, receive, store or have access to any personal information or content from the app.
Across has no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising software in it. The only third-party code that talks to a network is Google Sign-In for iOS, and it talks only to Google. It is described in section 3.
The one way information about you can reach us is if you choose to write to us, for example at support@vablet.com. We use what you send only to answer you.
2. What stays on your phone
Across keeps the following in its own storage on your iPhone:
- Copies of the files in the folders you chose to sync, from Google Drive or from the Files app, and of single files you picked from Files or Photos.
- The list of folders you chose, and the information needed to keep them current.
- The email you are writing, until you hand it to Mail. A copy of an attached file is made for the email and removed afterwards.
- A record of which files you saved to Google Drive, so Email can offer a Drive link. It is cleared when you sign out.
- The email log: which files you sent and whether each went as an attachment or a link, who the email was addressed to, the meeting it followed, the template used, what Mail reported, and the subject and message. In Settings, turning off Keep message text in the log keeps only who, when and which files, and removes text already logged.
- Your email templates.
- Which file was on screen in the viewer and when, kept for 14 days, so a follow-up can include the files you showed in a meeting.
- Your favorites, your collections (named lists that link to files on the phone), and which files you have opened.
- Your settings, such as the Face ID lock and whether to post emails to your calendar.
- Your Google sign-in, kept in the iOS Keychain.
Synced and picked files, folder state, collections, templates, the record of files shown and the email log are encrypted by iOS data protection and are left out of iCloud and computer backups. They are on this phone and nowhere else.
3. Google Drive and Google user data
Signing in with Google is optional. Across works with iCloud Drive and other Files folders without it. If you sign in with Google, Across asks Google for these permissions:
| Permission | What Across does with it |
|---|---|
| Your Google account email address and basic profile | Shows which account is signed in, on the Settings screen. It stays on the phone. |
| See and download your Google Drive files (drive.readonly) | Lists My Drive and your shared drives so you can choose folders, downloads the files in those folders to your phone, and exports Google Docs and Slides as PDF. |
| See, edit, create and delete only the Drive files Across creates (drive.file) | Used only when you tap Save to Google Drive. Across creates a folder called Across at the top of My Drive and puts the file there. Across cannot see, change or delete any other file you have in Drive with this permission. |
Across writes to your Drive only when you tap Save to Google Drive, and only into its own Across folder. It never changes, moves or deletes a file you put in Drive yourself, and it does not change who can see a file.
Every request goes directly from your phone to Google. Google user data is never sent to Meiotic, Inc., vablet or anyone else. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. No person at Meiotic can read it.
vablet Across's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google's handling of your account is governed by Google's privacy policy. You can remove Across's access at any time from your Google account permissions.
4. Permissions on your iPhone
| Permission | Why | What happens to it |
|---|---|---|
| Files | To sync a folder you pick from iCloud Drive, On My iPhone or another file provider | Across reads only the folders and files you pick. The file provider, such as iCloud Drive, may download them through its own service. |
| Photos picker | To add photos and videos you choose | Apple's picker runs outside Across and gives it only the items you select. Across cannot see the rest of your library and needs no Photos permission. A picked photo keeps the details Photos includes, such as location, unless you turn that off in the picker's options. |
| Calendar, full access | Up next: to show your next meeting with the file whose name matches it. Follow up: to offer an email after a meeting ends, addressed to the people invited. | Across reads events from 15 minutes ago to 12 hours ahead, and meetings that ended in the last 6 hours, on the phone. It compares titles, locations, attendee names and notes with file names, and reads the names and addresses of people invited to a meeting you follow up. Nothing is sent anywhere. If Post emails to Calendar is on and nobody else was invited to the meeting, Across adds one line to that meeting's notes saying which files went to whom. |
| Calendar, add events only | To add a short entry for each email, if you turn on Post emails to Calendar | A follow-up to a meeting with other people invited gets its own entry right after the meeting, so the shared meeting is never changed. The entry names the files, the recipients and the subject. The message text is never written to the calendar. Entries sync with whatever account that calendar belongs to. |
| Contacts picker | To choose who an email goes to | Apple's picker gives Across only the address you choose. Across cannot read your address book. |
| Face ID or Touch ID | To lock the app, if you turn this on | iOS checks your face or fingerprint and tells Across only whether it matched. Across never receives biometric data. |
Every permission is optional. Declining one turns off the related feature and nothing else.
5. Writing review on your phone
Proofread, Check tone, Make concise, Adjust tone and Tailor to meeting use Apple's on-device language model, part of Apple Intelligence. Your draft is processed on the phone. Tailor to meeting also gives the model the meeting's title and date, the recipients and the file names, on the phone. Across does not send any of this to a cloud service, ours or anyone else's. The review keeps no copy; the email log keeps the message you hand to Mail, on the phone, unless you turn that off. If the on-device model is not available, the review is not offered.
6. When information leaves your phone
Only in these cases, and never to us:
- Downloading and syncing. Your phone asks Google Drive, iCloud Drive or another file provider for the files in the folders you chose.
- Saving to Google Drive. When you tap Save to Google Drive, the file is uploaded from your phone directly to the Across folder in your own Drive.
- Email. Continue to Mail opens Apple's mail composer with the message filled in. You press Send, and the message goes through your own email provider to the people you addressed it to. Across does not send email itself.
- Drive links. If you send a Google Drive link instead of an attachment, the recipient opens the file through Google. Across does not change who can see the file in Drive.
- Calendar entries. An entry you asked Across to add syncs with your calendar account.
- Sharing. Anything you share from the share sheet goes where you send it.
7. Information Apple holds
Apple collects some information on its own when you download an app or opt in to share analytics with app developers. That is Apple's collection under Apple's privacy policy. Crash reports Apple may share with developers are aggregated and do not contain your files or messages. Where an iOS feature itself uses Apple's servers, that is Apple's processing, not ours.
8. This website
vabletacross.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. The support form opens an email in your own mail app; nothing is submitted to the website. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We see only aggregate traffic counts that do not identify anyone.
9. Keeping and deleting your information
Your files and email log stay on your phone until you remove them.
- Removing a single file deletes Across's copy. A picked file's original in Files or Photos is not touched.
- In Settings, Sign out and remove all files deletes every synced and picked file and every folder choice, and signs you out of Google. The originals stay in Drive, Files or Photos.
- In Settings, under Email log, you can delete one entry or clear the whole log.
- Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the phone, including the email log, templates and your Google sign-in.
- Removing Across from your Google account permissions stops all access to your Drive. Files you saved to the Across folder stay in your Drive until you delete them there.
- Calendar entries and sent emails are in your calendar and mail accounts, where you can delete them.
Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
10. Your rights
Laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete and move personal information a company holds about you. Meiotic, Inc. holds no personal information from vablet Across, so there is nothing to disclose, correct, delete or transfer. We do not sell or share personal information and we do not build profiles.
If you believe we hold information about you, write to support@vablet.com and we will respond within the time the law requires.
11. Children
vablet Across is a business app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
